Why Adjust Your Macros?
Every “body” is different, and while Lifesum does a great job at estimating your nutritional needs, you may want to adjust your nutrition settings if the provided values aren’t quite right for you.
If you’re trying a keto diet, then you may want to reduce your carbohydrate intake. If you’re trying to put on muscle mass, then you may want to hit a higher protein goal, or if you feel best on a low-fat diet, then you may want to reduce your fat intake.
How to Change Your Nutrition Settings in the Lifesum App
First things first, changing your macros is a Premium feature. This means that you won’t be able to adjust your nutrition settings in the free version of the Lifesum app.
If you have a Premium Lifesum membership, then you’ll be able to edit your macros in just a few seconds:
Firstly, head to the Me tab at the bottom of your screen. Next, go into your settings by selecting the gear symbol to the right of your bio. In your settings, tap Nutrition settings. Here, you’ll be able to adjust your macros by moving the sliders or by hitting the + (plus) or - (minus) buttons. When you’ve got your macros where you want them, just tap Save.
Make Healthy Eating Easier
Whatever your nutrition goals, knowing what you’re putting into your body undoubtedly makes it easier to stay on track. Food tracking apps such as Lifesum help to make nutrition labels more transparent, so you can focus on your goals and not counting calories.
