Of course, there’s also the problem that you’ll get messed-up recommendations once they get into your profile. Well, all that can be avoided if you set up a PIN on your profile. We also recommend changing the PIN every now and then, as kids are pretty creative in figuring out your combination.

We must mention that children’s profiles cannot have PIN code protection.

How to Change Your Disney+ PIN on Mobile

Swapping out your Disney+ profile PIN is fairly easy to do, even when using a mobile device. You won’t have to wait until you reach your computer, which is great, especially if you want to hand out your phone to the kids while out and about.

While younger users should stick to their own Kids Disney+ profiles, you know they’ll want to wander, so this is how we can fix that.

Launch the Disney+ app on your mobile device. Before choosing any profile, tap on the Edit Profile option in the top right corner. A pencil will appear next to all pictures. Tap your profile. Scroll down to the Parental Controls area. Press on the Profile PIN option. Type in your password to confirm you’re the owner of the account. If you already have a PIN, you’ll see it on your display. Simply tap on the pin box and delete the code you have there. If you don’t have a PIN or you see blank boxes, type in the new PIN code you want to use. Tap Save, and you’re done. You’ll be taken to the previous menu.

Using profile PINs is such an efficient way to enforce the Disney+ parental controls on your account.

How to Change Your Disney+ PIN on Desktop

Switching out the PIN on your profile is super easy, so let’s see exactly what steps you have to take.

Go to the Disney+ website and log in to your account. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner. Go to Edit Profiles to display the new menu. Select your profile. In the Edit Profile menu, scroll down to Parental Controls. Click Profile PIN. Type in your account password to confirm your identity. Ensure you tick the checkbox to protect your profile with the PIN. That way, no one will be able to enter your profile unless they know the number. Type in the four-digit code you want and save. Even if you already have a PIN and you’re just changing it now, you can simply type in a different one. Once you click Save, you’ll go back to the previous menu.

That’s it! Your profile is protected from unwanted access to your Disney+ profile.

How to Remove Your Disney+ PIN

If you no longer want to use your Disney+ PIN on any specific profile, you can quickly remove it by following these steps:

Launch the Disney+ app or load the website in your browser. Log into your profile and go to Edit Profiles, as we previously showed you. Click on your chosen avatar and scroll down to the Parental Controls area. Fill in your account password. Just below the Profile PIN, you’ll find a checkbox with the option to limit access to your profile. If you no longer want to limit access to your profile with the four-digit PIN, simply uncheck the box. Once you’re done, click Save.

Extra Protection for Young Users

While you can use PIN codes to protect children from getting their eyes on the content they shouldn’t be watching, it’s clear that it’s also a great way to prevent other adult users from messing up with your viewing history.
